We are very excited to be skiing with you soon in New Zealand!

SOFA SKI CAMPS Porters are run in cooperation with Porters Alpine Resort. Your camp invoice will come directly from Porters and will include your camp fee, lift pass, CHC airport transfer and ski field transport.

To help you book your accomodation, we will forward the information below to Oxford Village Motels, who will send you an offer.

We will be able to pick you up at Christchurch Airport around 5pm on the arrival day. On the last day of the camp we will drive back to CHC Airport right after the skiing ends at 3pm and for Camp 2, 4 and 6 also in the morning of the next day (Aug 16, Aug 23 and Aug 30). If this does not work with your flights at all, then we will give our best to find a solution. Please check with us first before you book a flight that might be tight.

Oxford Village Motel - Dates and Room Requests

Check in at the motel is the day before the start of the camp. Check out on the last training day. For Camp 2, 4 and 6 you could stay another night. Oxford Village Motel has studios (NZD175 per night) for one or two people, some bigger studios with two seperate beds and some two bedroom apartments (NZD240 per night). Since we’ll be filling the entire motel, it would be great if you could consider sharing one of the larger units. https://www.oxfordmotels.co.nz/rooms

SKI RENTALS

Please let us know if you need to rent any equipment. Getting your info in advance will help us speed up the pick up process.

LIFT PASS

Camp participants will get the lift pass for NZD 80 instead of the regular NZD 149 per day, and the season pass for NZD 649. 

If you are over 75 then the lift pass is free!

PAYMENT

Porters Alpine Resort will send you the invoice for the camp package. To secure your spot you will have to pay a 50% deposit within 7 days after you receive the invoice. The remaining amount is to be paid by July 10th.

Some things we need to talk about...

To secure your spot in the camp, a 50% deposit is required within 7 days of receiving your invoice from Porters. The remaining balance is due by July 10th. If you cancel before July 10th, your deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel on or after July 10th, the full amount is non-refundable. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover any unexpected changes or cancellations. If we need to cancel the camp for any reason, you will receive a full refund.
If Porters Alpine Resort should be closed on any of the days during your camp, we will offer an alternative programme in the valley, including ski technique related dryland training and video ski tech sessions OR we will drive you to a different ski field in the area that is open for a day of social freeskiing. No refund will be issued for the first closed day. If a second closed day should occur within the same camp, a full refund for coaching and lift passes will be provided.
Taking video of your skiing and the training plays a big role in any SOFA SKI CAMP. At the end of the training you will receive your videos for download on your training diary. By participating in a SOFA SKI CAMP you allow us to use your footage for social media and commercial purposes. If this is something you don't want at all then please let us know. We will never use your name or close ups without asking you and will mainly use the videos taken to promote our camps at Porters.
