Get ready to ski with us in 2026 as we return to the Hokkaido Powder Belt! We’re excited to welcome both returning and new faces for another unforgettable season of skiing, coaching, and adventure.

What’s planned for next season:

• Camps will run Sunday to Thursday

• Fridays will be reserved as cool down days, perfect for an additional travel day to explore one of the legendary Hokkaido ski resorts

• A new optional warm-up day on Saturday with our coaches and guides

Japan is the place to be if you are after some really deep snow. Working in partnership with SOFA SKI CAMPS, we will work hard to help you boost your ski performance and will enjoy playing in the famous Japan Powder.

In the Furano region, there are 5 different resorts that are very close by (within an hour drive). We will go and explore the different ski resorts (guaranteed 2 different resorts in the 5 days), depending on the weather and snow conditions.

Our GOAL for SOFA SKI CAMPS Japan is to help you improve your skiing as much as possible, build on what you have learnt in previous camps, see different ski resorts in Japan, ski lots of fresh snow, learn and experience the local culture, eat delicious Japanese food and to give you the tools to continue to work on your skiing. We want you to have a great time skiing with friends, in a friendly, fun environment.

Explore the Furano Region

In the Furano area, you’ll have access to five incredible resorts, all within an hour’s drive. During our 5-day program, we guarantee skiing at least two different resorts, chosen based on the best weather and snow conditions to ensure an unforgettable experience.

Nordica Test Centre

We offer a fully exclusive ski rental service, making it easy for you to enjoy the slopes without the hassle of bringing your own gear. Leave your skis at home, and let your coach select the most suitable skis for the day based on the conditions. We’ll even deliver your skis to the slopes—just click in and enjoy your day on well-tuned, high-performance equipment!

The Nordica Test Centre also serves as our meeting point for information evenings and private video study sessions, creating a convenient hub for all our skiers. With its central location, it’s easy to find us both on and off the slopes.

SOFA SKI Chalet

For the 2026 season, we’re excited to offer three Sofa Ski Chalets, all just 200 metres from our Nordica Test Centreand daily meeting point in Kitanomine.

Choose from:

• One 4-bedroom house – perfect for groups or guests who enjoy a shared vibe

• One 3-bedroom house – ideal for small groups or mixed bookings

• One 2-bedroom house – cosy and private, great for couples or close friends

All houses feature:

• Spacious common areas for relaxing, dining, and socialising

• A smart layout that balances privacy with the opportunity to connect with fellow skiers

• A location that keeps your mornings simple—no transfers, no stress, just skiing

To help create the best camp experience possible, we’ll allocate rooms based on availability unless you specifically request to stay with certain people. This way, we can bring more of the Sofa Ski Camp community together under one roof—and make it easier to look after you throughout the week.

PROGRAM OUTLINE

• Meet and Greet:
  6:00 PM Saturday – Welcome and introductions. We’ll also sort out any equipment rentals needed.

• Start Time:
  9:00 AM Sunday – Start times for other days will be confirmed daily.

• Meeting Place:

  • Furano Kitanomine Gondola

  • SkiSportAdventure Hub for powder safari days

• Duration:
  5 hours of coaching daily, Sunday to Thursday, with an optional warm-up or cool-down day on Saturdays or Fridays.

• Group Size:
  Maximum of 6 participants per group, matched by ability level.

• Skiing Levels:
  Suitable for intermediate to expert skiers.

• Payment:

Participants for each week are selected by Hansjörg and Klaus. We put together teams that are similar in ability and goals. As soon as we have enough participants of similar ability, we send you an email and confirm your camp. Once this happens you can start to plan. Registering for a camp is non-binding. If you are considering to train with us then, then please fill out the form and we can let you know what training options we would have for you.

 Once we have a found a group for you we will ask you to pay a deposit to confirm your booking.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE TO CANCEL MY SKI CAMP?

We understand unexpected events can happen. Here are our terms and conditions in case of a cancelation.

• Up to 2 months before camp: full refund.
• Up to 1 months before camp: refund excluding deposit ($1000.- AUD)
• Less than 1 months before camp; Last minute cancelations no refund.
• If you have to cancel last minute. We would like you to claim your money back via your travel insurance.
• Lift tickets will be fully refunded at any time.
• If there is a waiting list for your booked week, we can negotiate a refund.
